Colored Pencils--Step 1

I purchased some colored pencils (24, with erasers) a week or so ago. Now I've just sharpened them (manually), and I'll be generating random scraps for a while--maybe.
Also, I'll be uploading more photos (did one yesterday), because I've set up my own preferred watermarking system. That's what I was waiting for. I'm paranoid about that copyright stuff, so for the immediate future the watermarks will be a little heavy-handed.

Not a big deal I know, but a semi-start.

Mostly I take pictures and shoot amateur video. I've been doing so for many, many years; I'm fairly good at it but not as good as I should be.

Also, I like art, not modern art too much, but real pictures. Color interests me. It has since I was very little. I like "Idyllic" scenes and beautiful people. Grotesque or tragic people don't interest me artistically. Also, I don't think adult males are very pretty. They may be under-represented in my favorites.

What interests me most in art appreciation is why a picture succeeds at being outstanding artistically, and not just for attention grabbing subject matter.
